Demonstration Garden

Located next to the Autauga-Prattville Public Library, the Prattville-Autauga Demonstration Garden is a major Autauga County Master Gardeners Association (ACMGA) project.

The Demonstration Garden was developed with a grant from Alabama A&M University received via the Autauga County Extension Office. Garden construction was completed in 2004.

The City of Prattville partnered with the Autauga County Extension Office and provided the land for the Demonstration Garden.

The ACMGA provides ongoing expertise and maintenance for the Demonstration Garden.

Master Gardeners can be found working the Demonstration Garden each Tuesday morning.

All produce raised in the Demonstration Garden is donated to the Autauga Interfaith Care Center (AICC). The AICC identifies limited-income recipients from Prattville and Autauga County to receive the fresh produce from the Demonstration Garden. For many families, the Demonstration Garden is their only source of fresh produce.
