Friends of Autauga County Master Gardeners

For a number of years people who have participated in our programs and benefited from the knowledge they gained have asked how they can become Master Gardeners.

While we always welcome new members into our group and encourage participation in the program, it is not for everyone. The reasons vary:  prospective members may still be working, they may be caring for aging parents or grandchildren, they may have health concerns, or any other reason that prevents them from taking the course and completing the volunteer commitments.

If you cannot make a time commitment, but still want to help, please consider the Friends of Autauga County Master Gardeners program.

Our friends will have the opportunity to help financially support the work ACMGA does for the Prattville/Autauga County communities and enjoy benefits especially designed for our supporters.

The ACMGA is a non-profit organization, and your donation will be fully tax deductible as allowed by law (see our 501(c) information). In 2022, Autauga County Master Gardeners gave over 12,795 hours at a value of $382,000 to our community.

The financial support from our friends helps to support various community projects. Just a few of the ACMGA projects supported by this program include:

  • Historic Prattvillage Garden
  • The Prattville-Autauga Demonstration Garden
  • Horticulture Education Programs
